As someone who has seen Sandi Patty speak in person I was very excited to read one of her books, unfortunately I was very disappointed. I found it very hard to get into the book as the writing seemed to be very dis-jointed and tended to wander off topic quite a bit. This book seemed more of a journal she has kept more than a book intented for others to read.

Books, books and more books!

I am so excited, I love, love, love to read and I have found the readers paradise! While reading another friends blog I discovered that she does book reviews and gets a free copy of the book. Two of my favorite things...reading and free books. I have already been accepted by one publisher and I'm waiting to hear back from a few more.

Summer is here....

It's hot here. Really hot. Fry and egg on the pavement hot... well not exactly. Last week the kids and I tried that on a piece of foil. It was really fun and just a random idea for the day. I think we will try it again straight on the sidewalk next time. Not on the front porch, in front of the door AND we will tell my husbands what is in the shiny foil packet before he picks it up, lol.
